Nicholas Whelan is a Wicklow based filmmaker and photographer specialising in work with musicians. He is known for his artistic camerawork and creative editing, bringing energy and dynamism to his clients work. Whether the project involves a controlled studio set up, or requires an elaborate shoot across multiple locations, Nicholas works closely with his clients throughout the creative process to help them achieve their vision. As well as capturing beautiful looking images with an array of professional camera equipment, Nicholas is also an expert at using green screen and adding special effects for projects that require extensive post-production work,

He has filmed, edited and produced many music videos, captured numerous live performances, and photographed lots of well known Irish acts including:

Caz9, The Cazettes, Kormac, The Shoos, Shane Fallon, Scott Maher, No More Questions, Dashoda, Royal Yellow, Robert Delaney, Mount Alaska, Fia Moon, and others.

Nicholas is a huge music fan and has been behind the lens on the Irish festival circuit for over a decade, shooting at Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, and Kaleidoscope as well as working extensively with Bodytonic, documenting their festivals and events including: Beatyard, The Big Grill, Jam Park, Gin Fusion and Brewtonic Beer Festival.

He has also produced high quality imagery for Event Junkies, Motherland, Cultivate, Nialler9, MarkiMedia and many others.
